We both attended together although not necessary at London. 9AM appointment, first interview of the day. At first window, took appointment letter, police report, birth certificate, 2 passport size photos and medical packet. At second window, didn't ask when we had met last since we were together. Asked Wes when we had met (internet) and when; asked us both what we do for a living. Asked Rebecca for I-134 and took that document with NO SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS. Took Wes' prints, had him sign DS-230 part 2, told us we had 90 days to marry after entry, and told Rebecca to not forget to adjust Wes's status after we married. Told us to go to courier window and pay fee, and that was it. Out of embassy by 9:30 or so. Easy and painless.

The whole experience was fine really, I think I was just panicking so much that it felt more complicated than it was. The initial wait to submit paperwork was frustrating but then I had part 1 & 2 done simultaneously as they had some people being trained who were watching my case (woohoo!) All in all, London have been really good to me, decent response times to emails and friendly people at the Embassy - there is really no need to worry (not that it will stop anybody worrying but hey ho)...

I have to say that it was a good experiance, despite having to fly from belfast and stay overnight in london. I met a few real nice people from this site at the doctors and we all sat together in the embassy. I was almost finished my interview before I realized it was taking place, and smiled the whole way back to belfast.

Thanks to all my fellow travellers for all your support and I hope you all have a wonderful new life

To say how nervous I was I must admit that I was made to feel very much at ease with the whole process......Even when I only took 1 copy of one of the forms the lady just made a joke and said "looks like I will have to work for my wages today"....All in all a plesent experiance and the staff there are so polite, helpful and understanding of nervousness...

A huge thumbs up for London

London interview September 20th

Interview entirely procedural and straightforward. Staff pleasant & generally helpful without being friendly.

The waiting area and Qing bit is a bloody nightmare - like a an overcrowded Portuguese airport in the 1970s with a cabin crew strike on. Hot, uncomfortable, overcrowded.

Thankfully was only there for 2 hours.

Ulimately had no probs over the interview/forms - other than having to insist that they hadnt given me my birth certificate back. (they hadn;t)
